Being fairly lazy and having a lack of coding skills re-designing it for commercial purposes and a designated vertical towards an interest seems unlikely as of yet. But you never know perhaps in the future things will change. Been thoroughly obsessed with real estate and hotels lately one of those monopoly dreams that is thouroughly useless and yet satisfying at the same time. December 31st, 2010 by Lushfun New Year Tranquility May all have health, happiness, and wealth. A good an prosperous year filled with happy outcomes and little excitements that bring spice to life. If nothing else there is always hope in the future no matter what. This blog has been up for about two months give or take a few days it has been viewed by a little over seven hundred people or so, hopefully there was something interesting on here that made a day a little brighter for someone. For me it helps alleviate boredom and gives a little place of purpose. Doubt if this will make money but it does make me a little happy to write here. Lets enjoy the upcoming 2011. Whatever it brings may we all have strength and virility to overcome the waters of time within this new year. A potential year still in the making filled with hopes, dreams, actions, and inactions, and a myriad of other outcomes we all will experience. Enjoy it dear reader and may it all be good. November 20th, 2010 by Lushfun Saturday NightIts dark out there, cold, a little damp and of course somewhat empty. Listening to "Approaching Night" by Phillip Wesley right now as I write. Sometimes when you get the first breath of that fresh air out in the street it changes everything. Your eyes gain their luster, there is that light rush of oxygen increase through your body and you have to warm up to keep homeostasis. Wind on your face begins to resonate with change all around slow and persistant and jumping from leaf to leaf. All the crap you were thinking at home, about jobs, life, tensions straining your nerves and needlessly overcomplicating simple drives begin to ease up and fade away. Life seems just a little better no matter how slightly as it became a little simpler even though slightly uncomfortable. November 15th, 2010 by Lushfun Bouts of creativity are rare for me, and sometimes they come if I just start writing something shutting out all other thoughts completely. Feeling so boxed in by expectations, some my own, some external. During the past ten years I have behaved very much like driftwood, drifting along with the current of time. After reading some of the panacea of the cookie cutter recipes with general bullet points of steps a through z that you need to “succeed” in one discipline or another to “win win win” it began to dawn on me that it is much similar to the propaganda of school, where the useful and critical thought is eviscerated from daily life. You are likened to an automaton much like the program that spits out a function once you throw a parameter into it to get a reaction. Critical thought requires introspection and time, sometimes it doesn’t come for a while, long past the wrong decisions or the missed opportunity. Reflection and hindsight is a bitch. People seem so concerned on specificity and refining the effervescent corners of said polished frame of mind that absurdness just hazes over their worldview. We all feverishly practice obsessive-compulsive behavior, tightening our nerves like strings on a guitar, that snap when reality strikes to play them. All we long for is a few moments of total acceptance to warm the hearth of our hearts. Simple things are always harder to see because it requires the viewer to come down from the ego of his mind play. Nature is a good friend to have on your side instead of trying to compete against like a fool. In the end all that struggling and competition is not against anyone else but yourself. Nature has a way of humbling people in the end. November 8th, 2010 Building ContinuedSo far the coolest thing would be to build a community on this site like Reddit's, but the problem is not knowing programing well enough to actually build anything even remotely close. At this point I am just trying to make a semi-functional blog with decent readable content. So far my biggest problems here was figuring out how to get traffic and actually derive stats of it. Using Piwik here for now but will most likely need to alter the tags in the future since it counts my hosting address and not the actual url, this makes my statistics very bad. At this point I do not know how many people actually go to the site. Hopefully it gets ironed out but for right now having links work right on most of the site is a better alternative than counting visitors. Well its October 25th, 2010 I finally decided to do a small site. Just trying it out to see if I like playing and building it, but so far it has been a little fun. Granted I have a long way to go before Its much better but still little steps in the right direction.
